Emotional
intelligence is a concept defined as an ability to perceive, assimilate,
understand and regulate our emotions and those of others, promoting emotional
and intellectual growth. In this way, this information can be used to guide our
thinking and behavior.

To understand the great power of emotions over the thinking mind, and
the cause of the frequent conflict existing between the feelings and the reason
we must consider the how the brain has evolved. The mind and the body are
connected in a synchronized way, when one of these fails the other too, when we
saturate our mind with thoughts all the time and more if they are thoughts of
anguish or negative, we are filling our brain with suggestions, hindering our
ability of leaving our comfort zone, thoughts like "what would happen if?,
what if it goes wrong?, the same thing will happen as last time. These thoughts
are caused by bad memories such as when something embarrassing has happened to
us, examples such as making mistakes and being a joke or falling off a chair in
the room etc... They are also caused by social anxiety, when these thoughts
come to the surface our body will have a tendency to worry, to the point of
giving us anxiety, which also it will increase overthinking and in some special
cases it will cause our body to start trembling like a kind of nervous tick. On
the one hand anxiety gives us a signal that demonstrates a good operation of
our alarm system, which is not bad, after all, being confident and calm at all
times will make us clueless, being the target of both internal and external
vulnerabilities

The best way to reduce
this overthinking and anxiety as such is simple but always functional
meditation, it will help us to be present in the here and now to be able to
better enjoy our day to day. We could spend all day on anxiety and how
emotional intelligence acts on it, but there are more topics where we could
focus, for example anger, which is also a very popular topic when we
investigate the control of emotions, known by the accumulated stress in our
mind and body, when we feel stressed and overwhelmed we will not be able to
achieve the things we want out of simple anger, and if we do, it will be done
in the worst possible way.
Stress is a feeling of
physical or emotional tension. It can come from any situation or thought that
makes you feel frustrated, angry, or nervous. Stress is your body's reaction to
a challenge or demand.
Stress is a feeling of physical or emotional tension.
It can come from any situation or thought that makes you feel frustrated, angry,
or nervous. Stress is your body's reaction to a challenge or demand that you
don't understand or don't have an easy and simple solution to your knowledge or
skills or it also occurs when it is believed to exist or will produce a
negative result for your interests that could have been avoided if someone had
taken them into account and acted differently. Uncontrolled stress can
contribute to many health problems, such as high blood pressure, heart disease,
obesity, and diabetes, therefore anger and stress are things that should not be
taken lightly, as we could develop
low self-esteem , acquiring a behavior that will affect the people around him.
To control the worries
and problems that generate anger and stress, we could breathe deeply doing a
relaxed and slow count of 10 seconds to inhale, retain and exhale the air, you
can also imagine a relaxing situation that calms your thoughts to a certain
extent among other techniques of relaxation and if this doesn't work, it might
not be a bad idea to go to therapy from time to time to calm down and stay
relaxed
Digging
further back before all the problems caused by the coronavirus pandemic, we see
that people used to have a lower rate of suffering from psychological and
mental problems. As a society we had a very low type of social anxiety, without
being afraid of people, since there was a lot of distance for several years,
specifically two, the human being became antisocial and in general, very
aggressive with people, something that he did not use to to be habitual in
society, an emotionally unstable and aggressive person with their environment.
During the
quarantine, our society had no choice and we had to get used to interacting
virtually through video calls and text messages, which turned this into
something practical and everyday. Humanity is not used to being isolated, at
the time that people isolated themselves, a great increase in the feeling of
loneliness was generated in people, we could feel accompanied thanks to the
messages that reached us through WhatsApp, but it would not be the same as
being with people face to face.
After all
this turmoil, we are getting used to a new reality, to feel the same again, to
feel at peace with our environment and more importantly with ourselves. What is
advised today is to get used to a state of relaxation, everything is fine and
you do not need to feel overwhelmed by other people, since this is the main
problem and the cause of all kinds of anxiety.
What confinement means for people is a momentary stress that grows to the point where it becomes normal and everyday, this stress grew thanks to the problem of the pandemic.
Stress is usually a disease that seriously affects people who suffer from it, these people used to go unnoticed before this disease because it was not taken much importance, over time this means running the risk of health problems physically affected, these diseases are usually: high blood pressure, heart failure, diabetes, obesity, depression or anxiety and skin problems, causing people low self-esteem that allows them to despise their body and not accept themselves themselves, this disease used to be something common but over time we have realized that it can even cause death, so it is important and recommended that these people who usually have this disease take care of themselves and do not let it progress so as not to have more problems in the body in the future.
